The South Tyrolean team remains in fourth place, awaiting the challenge against Modena
The last few matches played by FC Südtirol have been full of emotions, but thanks to the determination shown on the pitch by the players and the technical direction of Coach Bisoli, the team remains in fourth place in the general classification.
The South Tyrolean team has faced several historical clubs of Italian football in recent weeks, achieving two victories, five draws and two defeats.
The first match that gave them three points was against Ferrara’s Spal thanks to a double by defender Zaro.
No useful results came in the home match against Bari, where striker Morachioli scored a goal in the third of four minutes of added time, and at the Del Duca stadium against Ascoli, who took home the three points with a penalty that also came in the final minutes of the second half.
The matches against Parma, Cagliari, Genoa and top club Frosinone, all prestigious clubs that have long played in the top leagues of Italian football, ended in draws.
The team had returned to victory in the away match against Ternana thanks to an amazing goal from outside the box by Curto, a result that made the South Tyrolean fans rejoice.
In the last home match last Saturday, Coach Bisoli’s team managed to gain just one point from the game with Cittadella, thanks to a formidable goal by striker Odogwu. The Ci Gusta testimonial player produced a real masterpiece by scoring a spectacular goal that made the Druso stadium explode with joy.
In spite of Odogwu’s amazing goal, this result leaves the eventual confirmation of fourth place, and with it the guarantee of direct passage to the second match of the playoffs, to the last challenging match of the championship against Modena, which will take place this Friday 19 May, at 20.30.
Ci Gusta continues to support the team in this final championship match, and we are increasingly proud to support this team that makes an entire territory dream every time it takes the field.
